Last Thursday we showcased the snowboards and skateboards we Uglyfied up in collaboration with FBBB and in true Ugly Kids Club fashion we killed it. 8 boards in total, including a helmet.

A dedicated fan of Bomb came down to show some support, wearing one of our tee’s…

We went down to the Hoxton Pony for the afterparty. My camera got stripped off me so sadly I couldn’t take no snaps of Bomb, Durrell and Faime doing the macarena in unison ontop of a neon-lit table.

We weren’t there for long, stomachs were rumbling for a salt beef ROLL (with the ugly). Beigels aren’t cutting it at the moment. To top it off we went down to the Sports Bar for some New Girls!!! Giggity….

Robin Bharaj looks like he has killed it again. Just received the test shots from our shoot yesterday and its looking pretty ill so far. Ima hold back on the actual details as to why, where, how, when and why. But big thankyou to Robin, Ala, Narinda, Magz, Sukey and snapshot Tony for doing what Snapshot Tony does.

In those ‘narcissistic’ kind of ways (we all do it): Bomb decided to look himself up on google.
And he found this on page three of ‘Jay Z Glastonbury’ in Google image search.

Surrounded by pictures of Mr.Carter we have this picture of Bombs mug.

The caption underneath read:

They insisted I took their photo and claimed (both of them) that they were Jay-Z.
The night Maggie broke her ankle…. (and the story goes on)

One of my personal ‘high’ notes of a very eventful 2008 was defo getting a stall at Glastonbury, doing some wheeling and dealing but generally getting mash up with a beer, a zoot and half a tab to the sound of ‘Hard Knock Life’ in the middle of a country muddy field while the rest of the people around me got seriously seriously wasted; check the pic. Nuff Said.

My thoughts go out to maggie and her broken ankle. Big up the very generous ‘customer’ of our stall, Red Mutha, the guy with Red Mutha, the stand with the goose egg and bacon butties, Garbelle, Garbelles hot bredrin, Jack Daniels, the girl that got pissed on, the barrier on the motorway, the stripper in the yellow dress and wellies, the guy next door, the chavs next door and obviously ‘Jay Zed’.

The Skinnyman/Ugly Kids story goes like this….

Here at The Ugly Kids Club we have a lot of love for Skinnyman.
Since before we started working with Skinny…. a lot of The Ugly Kids including myself were big big fans.
Council Estate of Mind is a one of THE classic hip hop albums, period.
And in my opinion a battle MC is one of the truest forms of Hip Hop, so make sure you hit up The Jumpoff battle archives for Skinnyman to see how serious with the off the top lyrics he is, google it, youtube it…. anything blad. Trus.
So last summer, getting a call from Skinnys manager; Shinobi saying Skinnys a real big fan of us was donuts. We linked up and it weren’t long before we popped off The Smoking Ban collabo Tees. We linked up with Skinny and The Mud Fam on their UK tour in autumn 07 and joined in the ridicolous drink and smoke antics. Check the Myspace blog…. big ups to Bomb. Ha

Skinny performed in the main room on the night of our launch.
We take care of our fam here at The Ugly Kids Club, so we kitted my man out with a special ‘cowboy’ outfit… we even sorted him out with a Cowboy gun which he was happily sending out guns shots wit. Bomb dealt with the hat, BV merkled the creps and i did the blood splattered suit.

Thank you to Van Boom from Dcypha Recordings for getting The Ugly Kids Club involved in Sways latest video shoot for ‘F ur X’.
Theres a whole host of people dem in the vid: Stush, Bashy, Chipmunk, the entire cast of Adulthood.
Bomb and Ninja D painted a wall on day one….

And on behalf of Myspace The Hookup and in conjunction with Puma we merkled one two couple customs for Sway. Bomb merked a hat. Pins merked the big boy Puma jacket. Cee merked the tee. And BV came through with the matching Puma creps and the Tee for Myspace.

Twin B and MTV Base were in the place doing some behind the scenes filming.

Big ups to Sway, for getting us involved but not for trying to sell them bits on eBay.

Big ups again to Van Boom, Alison at Puma and Bomber.
