SnowBombing Day 2

April 19th, 2012

As Dizzee puts it in this video at 0:17 seconds... "The scenery is dumb"

We spent the day getting lost on the mountains, going down the pro routes instead of the novice routes, falling and "eatin' shit" constantly, but by the end of the day, we learnt from our mistakes and backflips became easy to do. Nothin' Long. We were able to keep up with the infamous Sparrow Knox , Chico and Neil Campbell of FBBB. Snowboarding/ski-ing isn't for people with vertigo. Trust.

Check out these breathtaking views on the Snowbombing website of day two here...

and here's a couple I took...

The wonders of the iPhone. Amazing.

We managed to come across a restaurant on top of the mountain that needed some UKC lovin', so watch out for tomorrow post of how it all went down...

SnowBombing 2012: Day 1

April 18th, 2012

After that long ass Road Trip, we rested up, and then got right into it. Mayrhofen is one b e a utiful place...

We painted up the container opposite The Strass Hotel where all the Snowbombing organisers camped up...

Half way through painting we were getting pretty tired and fed up. Combination of heat and spray paint got to us, but luckily we got some Motivation.... from Mr. Motivator.

A couple of pics from the Snowbombing photographers catching The UKC in action...

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post where we both do some synchronized backflips up in the mountains.

SnowBombing 2012: Road Trip – Day 1

April 17th, 2012

To describe Snowbombing 2012 as Epic is an understatement. For those that don't know, it is a music festival in Mayrhofen, Austria, where it has progressively become bigger and bigger each year. The UKC were blessed enough to travel along with the FBBB family to Mayrhofen on the official Snowbombing road trip, where the finish line would see a convoy of 140 vehicles deep in a celebratory procession in the middle of the town. The theme for this years road trip was "TV Legends". Batman and Robin, The Stig, Super Mario, The A-Team etc. everyone was in fancy dress for the festival spirit. The UKC and FBBB just rolled up as ourselves, cause that's just how we roll.

If you're not following mine or Mister Batlow's twitter, we posted up a picture of the FBBB x UKC Wicked Camper Van we used for the road trip

Endurance is the word that best describes our Road Trip. From London to Dover, to Calais, to Holland so we could pick up some 'special things'...

...to Frankfurt for a stop over...

...then to the town of Mayrhofen.

It was roughly a 22 hour drive, which felt like 3 days! It was worth it in the end, as we were welcomed in like kings. Make sure you check tomorrow's post to see what we got up to next...
