PROOF OF THE PUDDING… KEEP GRINDING
January 22nd, 2010Jumpoff posted these videos a few days back. These are all from 2005. Possibly the peak of Jumpoffs popularity. I remember being somewhere in the venue of all these nights… these was when you could smoke (or ‘bun’) in clubs and before Ed hardy bastardised the trucker hat.
Jumpoff used to operate a win and perform again next week system. The following guys won it 7 times in a row so you kinda got to know how these guys ticked. Clothes they wore, moves they used or style of MCin. All these past winners have gone on and popped up here and there and in the tail end of 2009 were all doing ALOT.
Mr. Hudson 2005
Signed to Kanye West, on Jay Zs album, has a LV shoe named after him… Mr. Hudson came through and switched up The Producing Battle. He did make the least exciting battle – exciting.
Professor Green 2005
Was signed to The Beats, has song with Lily Allen.
Professor Green won it 7 times in a row, twice. Green had the jokesest punchlines.

No introduction needed. Britains got Talent. Its funny how Marlon (Flawless) is not in the crew for some reason this day.

You dont neccasirly have to have bags and bags of talent to get far, we all know that. But it does help. These videos are clear proof of the pudding that if you keep grinding you will get somewhere.
