Yesterday me and Batlow moonwalked our way into Matter at the o2 for a Michael Jackson Tribute hosted by the one and only Kymberlee Jay. Extended Ugly Kids Club family were there; Funk Physics, Avant Garde, Boy Blue and even Flawless.

Matter was packed with dancers, buff dancer girls, youts from all around the country, buff dancer girls, familiar faces and buff dancer girls. I got my special “press pass” which I’m slyly liking now since I got my first one from Mr. Cherry at Nassfest. I’m gonna keep a collection of them on my door hanger cause I’m geeky like that.

…However, the press pass didn’t really mean that much during the second half after I was told I wasn’t allowed on stage cause there wasn’t enough space, so I had to squeeze my way through overgrown screaming youts to get a decent enough spot. Long.

My apologies for the first few crews that are looking for Mister Cee snappage. I couldn’t get any pictures of you. I literally went up and down three floors to get a good spot. But there were too many people. However, when there’s a will there’s a way. Pappage went from this….

Some official blurb…

The Ugly Kids Club have taken to the streets; the streets (and stables) of Camden Town’

For the month of August and into September; The Ugly Kids open their first offiical retail space.

After a succesful spot at ‘The Reset’ in conjunction with Nike 1948 and then a full on week of ‘Ugly’ shenaningans at Relentless Nass where one of their many highlights was witnessing MOBO award winning new artist Chipmunk proudly represeting The UKC onstage, The Ugly Kids Club aim to continue with an already very exciting and jam packed year.

The temporary UKC Pop Up at the world renowned Camden Stables will be the place to get all your bright, fun and creative tee shirts that The Ugly Kids Club are renowned for. Each tee shirt design and colourway is purposely not reprinted past the first run, cementing the exclusivity of their limited edition products. This idealogy and the work ethic of The Ugly Kids Club has gained them even more fans this year and they are proud to count none other than trendsetter Pharrell Williams as one of them. Their time at Camden will see the release of the ‘Ugly or Die’ Tee, the Tee which Mr. Williams requested all four colourways of.

The UKC Pop Up will also become the new home of the award winning custom talents of The Ugly Kids Club, the talents which gained them their UUFA Customisers of The Year award back in 2006.
