My good bredrin and the designer formerly known as Linxman has had his own stall/unit type thing in the Stables, Camden going on two months now. Alongside his business partner, Durrell and Faime have been providing North London with all that vinyl goodness on tee shirts, hoodies and on windows.
I spent the day there this weekend just gone. Chilling, eating boog food and gawking and staring at the random collection of people that walk in and out of Camden on an hourly basis. Like this collection of North London ‘Abercombie and Fitch’ boys…. who started beating each other up at one point.
Vinyl Stars are collectively responsible for a lot of promo clothing and merchandise… most notably Giggs logos and ‘uuuummmm’ tee shirts and some of my early ‘Batlow’ stuff. They do tee shirts on the spot and is the perfect place to get that big bold font tee with that saying to ‘represent’ you.
Vinyl Stars is open Tuesday to Sundays.

RAIR 1 BLACK AND WHITE

Rair 1 was down at the Bournemouth Ink tattoo convention a couple of weeks back. Tattooing people dem alongside other people tattooing people dem. Rair was awarded Best Black and White for one of his signature carp tattoos that he did over the weekend.
When you see Rair he either has his award in his hand or its wrapped up in a blue wifebeater in his bag and he will draw for it in conversation.
Rair is bringing his award winning skills down to Nass and airbrushing everything and anything we can get our hands on. Holla.

ROLLER DERBY
Sunday, June 21st, 2009Girls on skates beating the crap out of each other sound good?…
As The Nass website describes it:
“Crazed women in fishnets racing to be the best.Think roller disco meets WWF… oh yes!”
Apparently Roller Derby was pretty popular sport in America back in the 1970’s, then it died out because it became unacceptable for women on roller skates to beat each other up on TV.
(Check the referee mans face..haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!)
So anyway it’s been back for a while and turns out the UK has a bunch of teams.
As you may know by now we are going to Nass fest July 10th and Roller Derby is on the bill at 5pm where the ‘Battle of Pastings’ is taking place.
UKC will probably be backing the London Roller girls mainly because Batlow fancies one of them who looks like that fat bird off Eastenders…Your Time.

To be honest I was a bit disappointed by the lack of fights in the Videos Ive seen, I was expecting more elbow drops, upper cuts and head butts. If The Ugly Kids Club had a team they would probably look a bit like this…
According to my research this team were banned from Roller Derby for life after one of them tried to eat a girls nose off, check the white girl at the back with the glasses on I think maybe she did it?…the black one is blatantly Mr Cee’s Time.

If you cant be bothered to check the vid I think basically you skate around trying to knock each other over..so it pays to be a bit chunky.
