BATLOWSAPPLES.COM PT.4: SKINNYMAN/VANILLA ICE

As you may already know, The Ugly Kids Club put together Skinnymans merchandise for The Smoking Ban Tour. You probably then know we designed his infamous tour van; The Smoking Van for him. What you probably don’t know is The Smoking Van was actually part of my final major project for my third year at uni. I got a 1st for doing the van. They couldn’t not give me a 1st for it. Even after Skinny illegally parked in front of my university reception door at my degree show night, opened the doors and windows, played his music and then started shotting weed out of it. Real talk. No seriously, real talk. Ask Bomb and the girl who fainted from smoking too much!

What i didnt know til the other day is that Skinny has been sending the tees we did with him to Vanilla Ice. I shit you not. Vanilla Ice has reinvented himself as an emo grunger with tats and that is him wearing the red smoking ban tee on more than one occasion.

URBAN NERDS 2ND BIRTHDAY PICS updated

All the old school Urban Nerds heads came out to play last night. They got themselves a grimble warehouse just down the road from the Tate Modern. I was forced to draw for the bashed up point and shoot since Mister Cee was knocked out from a night of pasting followed by a day of work… thats hardcore.

We bumped into my crime fighting nemesis turned former romantic love link: Catwoman. She is currently seeing Captain Jack Sparrow at the moment. Im not bitter about it at all.

I kind of forgot about my camera as soon as the wine and the Strongbow kicked in. And then remembered i had it in my pocket when i reached the house of food. Its never about sleeping in MacDs. Big ups to the three Sausage and Egg McMuffins i breathed in.

THE RESET: SAME EVENT DIFFERENT FLYER

Big up to Jimmy Ong on the design of the flyer. Much proppage to him.

A bunch of Londons up and coming independent labels have been handpicked to form the Reset. A two day event held at my old workplace: Nike 1948, where the different labels and brands will be showcasing and selling their latest products and releases. Labels also down with the Reset are A.IN.T, All Caps, Benjart, Cassette Playa, Currency, The Devoted, MVP, PC Williams, Pretty All City, Second Son, Trapstar, Trinotron and us, The Ugly Kids Club, of course.

So what do the Ugly Kids Club have in store?

Four, yep FOUR new tee shirt designs from this years summer collection. Tees which havent never been seen before, ever. Even tho we relaunch our dot com this thursday, this event will be the first time you can get your hands on our prints, before the stockists and before we stick them online. Keep posted.

Aswell as the current flavour of the month: The ‘I poked Your Mum’ tee.

And the ‘Ugly Love‘ tee.
