In those ‘narcissistic’ kind of ways (we all do it): Bomb decided to look himself up on google.
And he found this on page three of ‘Jay Z Glastonbury’ in Google image search.
Surrounded by pictures of Mr.Carter we have this picture of Bombs mug.
The caption underneath read:
They insisted I took their photo and claimed (both of them) that they were Jay-Z.

One of my personal ‘high’ notes of a very eventful 2008 was defo getting a stall at Glastonbury, doing some wheeling and dealing but generally getting mash up with a beer, a zoot and half a tab to the sound of ‘Hard Knock Life’ in the middle of a country muddy field while the rest of the people around me got seriously seriously wasted; check the pic. Nuff Said.
My thoughts go out to maggie and her broken ankle. Big up the very generous ‘customer’ of our stall, Red Mutha, the guy with Red Mutha, the stand with the goose egg and bacon butties, Garbelle, Garbelles hot bredrin, Jack Daniels, the girl that got pissed on, the barrier on the motorway, the stripper in the yellow dress and wellies, the guy next door, the chavs next door and obviously ‘Jay Zed’.
As usual it’s been a jam packed year with plenty of Ugly antics…heres a few highlights…
We kicked off the year with the JUMPOFF UKC Special which included a fashion show, body painting and T Shirt battle with Trimz and Rair One, as well as the usual drunken ugly shenanigans
Still in January Bomb and Batlow take a trip to Barcelona
for the bread and butter trade show meeting up with the Urban Nerds crew.
Barca get’s stickerd hard and so does James from Urban Nerds which for legal reasons we can’t show you pictures of(no seriously)..Here’s some nice trees instead from the Gaudi palace. hold tight Lizard boy and the old trumpet playing man.
Highlight of the trip; the messy Addictparty in the hills where the jagermeister girl is sweet talked until she’s off her face on the very drink she’s supposed to be selling = free jager shots for us
We came back in February and the Love hurts T Shirt is released…
and launched at another messy night at Jump Off this time sponsored by Strong Bow
In March it was that time of year again where we were asked to paint all over a bunch of pornstars courtesy of Smut clothing.
Down in the basement of club Plan B in Brixton, we can’t show you most of the pics
as it may well lead to another legal case but here’s a few for you
April was the start of a very busy month for us firstly we were involved in Sway’s video shoot for F UR X which featured custom clothing in association with Puma and a spot of illegal Graff from UKC..
Then it was off to the city farm to fill bombs’ car with stacks of hay and other cowboy related crap.
Which leads us to…
The UKC website being launched at a massive party alongside Urban Nerds 1st birthday bash at 93 feet east. Skinny man performs in top to toe UKC Custom outfit
and the Uglys host the back room Wild West style.
The night also see’s the launch of Skinny’s now infamous Smoking Vandesigned by Batlow which has since made appearances up and down the entire country.
In May the summer 2008 Wild West Range is launched Including the ‘The good the bad and the Ugly’ and ‘dead cowboy’ tees
our Jump Off shop also gets a lick of paint.
Cool Ninja’s DJ Shinobi invited us up to Liverpool to watch RZA live
he tears it up and even takes time to play chess and sign autographs in the local pub.
Rza was the realest guy he said he was feelin the garms and we even went with him and his goons to the local Chinese..big up to Shinobi once again for the hook up.
We were rejoined by the Dodgy Scousers DJ shinobi and Tony Shits
when the Ugly Kids headed down south to Brighton for the Red Mutha fashion fair in June..
this year we decided to book a hotel instead of sleeping on the beach.
June also saw us feature in RWD magazine
we interviewed the clothing legend Marc Ekco for a chance to read that click UKC Marc Ecko
In July it was time for Glastonbury 08 where we spent 7 days living like wealthy tramps on a diet of spliffs, vodka, jack Daniels and pot noodles.
We were nearly killed on the way there when Pins fell asleep at the wheel of a 16 seater mini Bus on the motorway; he blamed his fatigue on lack of donuts..Some say this was the beginning of his downfall (more on that later). We eventually arrived safely despite bomb driving over a few tents and killing a cow. After downing a bottle of Havana rum we set up our stall using random polls bought from eBay that didn’t fit together.
Highlights of the trip were watching Jay Z live…,

and when after pushing our way to the front Pins took a piss on a random girl in the crowd during the groove armada set(not took the piss out of..but actually had a piss on) i’m afraid we have no pictures of the actual moment but here is one from just before….

We headed back to Brighton in August to do a bit of body painting for The Grind,
August also saw us get featured on the front page of Myspace.com…which was nice
This was just after we released the Lollipop Tee’s
September was one of the best Jump Off events of the year
It was the UK Hip Hop Connection Anniversary Special…as usual it was an Ugly night
Pins leaves UKC in late October due to personal problems mainly his love of donuts.
His addiction became too much to handle, it was rumored at one point he was eating up to 12 boxes a day and was banned from his local Krispy Kremes shop when he caused a scene once they ran out of sprinkles.
We wish him well and hope that he can eventually move on from his donut faze.
The beginning of November Batlow and Bomb take a trip to Cyprus
to plan project UGLY 2009 and visit Trimz in the Ugly Kids Club official bar, ‘The Ship Inn’.
Big up Trimz for the best pork chops in Cyprus if not the world, and hold tight for
party season in the summer 2009…
and apologies to the owner of the Sun and Surf hotel for the hole in the table.
The Ugly Kids return home to receive a letter from un named credit card company, who threaten legal action against us over copy right infringement…outcome still to be heard.
This Christmas
saw the un-official launch of Ugly TV which will have plenty of exclusive and outrageous footage in 2009 watch this space….UGLY TV
